Final Exam Information
Attendance
Students must be in attendance for Final Exam periods if they have a final exam. If students do not need to take a final exam, they should be excused (called-out) by a parent/guardian.
Students in Study Hall or Lunch are not required to attend those periods on their scheduled Final Exam Days. Study hall will be located in the cafeteria during final exam days.
Breakfast /lunch
Breakfast will be offered from 7:45am-8:30am.
Lunch is offered both Final Exam days.
Exam Makeups:
Students must contact their teacher if they miss an exam and wish to reschedule.
All make-up exams will be completed with the teacher or available in the Assessment center.
Tech Campus
The last day for Tech Campus attendance is Wednesday, December 21.
Athletic Practices
Athletic practices can begin after 12:45 pm on both final exam days.
If a student is required to complete a final exam Make-Up period, he/she must do this before attending athletic practices.
Intervention Rooms
The Math Lab, Literacy Center and Media Center will remain open for students if students are in lunch or study hall during the exam periods.
Bus
All buses will run at 12:45 pm each day of final exams.
Activity Bus
An activity bus will run at 3:30 pm each day of final exams after the make-up period.

Summer School 2023
As we approach the cold winter season, it is time to start thinking about Summer School!
Important: For those who have had students in MHS summer school before, our registration procedure has changed. Students will now register for their desired summer school class during course registration with their counselor. Families will be billed through RevTrack at a later date. Please visit our summer school course guide (linked below) for more information.
Students should print and fill out the “Summer School Course Selection” page and bring it to their course selection appointment. Printed copies are available in the Guidance Office.

2023-2024 Course Selection
Course selection for the 2023-2024 school year will begin on Monday, November 28th with our grade 11 students. Students in grades 10 and 9 will select courses after the winter break. The following resources are available to our families to assist with the course selection process.

Boys Swim/Dive Coaches Corner
Here is our highlights from Lake County last weekend:
Johnny Anno placed 3rd in diving
Eddie Serrano placed 3rd in the 200 Freestyle and 6th in the 100 Freestyle.
Matthew Willis, David Tatevosian, Alec Sethna, and Eddie Serrano placed 6th in the 400 Freestyle
Girls Bowling Coaches Corner
This last week has been a whirlwind.
We competed in the Vernon Hills S”No”w Tap tournament this last weekend. JV slayed the competition taking 2nd place with individual winners Anna Kuznetsova (3rd place) and Paige Winters (4th place). Varsity earned 6th place out of 18 teams.
On Monday, we competed against Warren for first place. At the end of 3 games, we lost two points but gained 7, leaving MHS as #1 in the conference. Our JV team is a force to be reckoned with. Their scores were comparable to Varsity scores only a few years ago and are tearing a part of the competition. Shout out to the entire MHS Girls Bowling Team for remaining cool and slaying the competition.

Thank you to all our seniors and their parents for years of commitment.
Wrestling Coaches Corner
Varsity hosted a Quad over the weekend inviting Stagg, Grayslake North, and Fremd. The Mustangs won 2 out of 3 duals beating Stagg 54-21, Grayslake North 57-0, and losing to Fremd 44-15. The Varsity Mustangs are now 11-3 of the season and became Honorable Mentioned as a Team in State. Three Mustangs went 3-0 over the weekend including Sr. Bryce Durlacher now 19-1, Jr. Ethan Thomas 13-7, and Jr. Mac Rastrelli 14-5 of the season. Go Mustangs!!!
The JV traveled to the Max Mitchell Tournament in Glenbard. The Mustangs had 10 finishers out of 11 wrestlers. Six wrestlers took 5th place winning 2 out of 3 matches: 126 Krusinski, 132 Bahena, 138 A. Konewko, 170 R Konewko, 195 O' Campo and HWT Coleman. 195 Dylan Coe placed 4th with a first round bye and lost him next to matches to take 4th. Our top wrestlers over the weekend were 120 Neftali Cernas and 145 Oliver Hernandez winning 2 matches out of 3 to place 3rd place.
The Freshman and Sophmores traveled to Carmel again for a Quad. Three wrestlers went 2-1 at the Carmel Quad: 126 Martinez now 15-4, 145 Dominic Caputo and Evy Molina. Our Undefeated wrestlers were 145 Danny Hernandez 18-0, 152 Van de Motor 3-0 now 7-7 , and 220 Celso Cabrera 3-0 and now 14-1 of the season. Keep Grinding Mustangs.

Attendance
Regular school attendance is required and necessary to develop the academic and intrapersonal skills needed for success. Students are expected to attend each class and be on time. Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. If your student is going to be absent from school, please call the Attendance Line 847-949-2200 ext. 1998 (Spanish) ext. 1999 (English) by 10:00 am.

Bus Notifications
Would you like to know when your student’s bus is going to be late? For Mundelein bus routes, Lakeside Transportation is using the Bus Bulletin notification system to notify parents and students when there are bus delays and schedule changes. For more information, or to sign-up and start receiving notifications, please visit:

Technology Use
Students will utilize technology to support their learning in class. Students are reminded to use their Chromebooks and cell phones appropriately at all times.
