MHS will continue to host in-person learning and all the typical events. We will balance this with
continuing to practice our COVID mitigations which have shown to prevent COVID transmission in school. Mask wearing and monitoring health symptoms are extremely important - please support us in our efforts in learning how to live with this virus.

Congratulations to our Varsity and JV competitive teams, both placed 5th in their divisions yesterday! Way to go Mustangs. Keep up the hard work. Mundelein Cheer has started our Competitive Winter season on a high note! Our teams now have several competitions under our belt. Over Winter break our JV and Varsity teams competed at Rolling Meadows high school. We are so very proud of our teams improving at every competition. At Rolling Meadows our JV team finished 11th out of 14 teams! While our Varsity team placed 6th out of 12 COED teams! We are excited for Varsity to compete at Buffalo Grove on Sunday 1/9. Both of our teams will also compete at Grayslake North on Jan 15! Come out to support Mundelein Cheer! And keep up the hard work Mustangs!

It was a great winter break! Before we left Jessica Lake was nominated and received the Michael Meyer award at the Hersey Invite for her dedication and leadership in the sport of gymnastics. Then the varsity went to Addison Trail High School where Jessica Lake took 2nd on the balance beam, 10th on floor and 10th in the all around. Rylee Heidloff also took 7th on floor.

Over break, our girls got to experience their first tournament together. This tournament is always a lot of fun since the girls get a strike when only 9 pins are knocked over, in addition to their normal strikes. We had several games in the 200s and lots of smiles to be had. We have a big couple of weeks coming up and we are looking forward to it.
