Late Start Proposal
On April 14, D75 and D120 conducted an informational webinar on a Start of the School day proposal.
For Mundelein High School students, this proposal would start school at 8:40am each day and reduce the
morning and afternoon wait time for bus transportation for students. The recordings of the informational
webinars are accessible through the link below.

Girls Volleyball - End of season wrap up
Thank you, to all the Senior Girls Volleyball players for all the hard work on and off the court. We Congratulate; Brianna Martin, Claudia Wilcox, Kadra Balla, Grace Anzalone, Cheyenne Pellettiere, Emma Hallin, Anahi Larios, Ava Vogt, Emma Sanchez and Aaliyah Venegas. Coming to practice and matches with a positive outlook, you have given all of yourselves to the team. In the classroom you focus on the instruction of the day and study to keep your grades up. All of this has been a challenge in the times we are in today. We wish you all success in your futures and good health. This graduating class will make great things happen in the Future. The entire MHS Volleyball Coaching Staff congratulates all our graduates as well as the entire Class of 2021.
The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team had to overcome many obstacles this season. But, our athletes were able to complete the entire season, and we saw so much growth in each player. Our record in no way represents the strength of this team. We will have a number of the team returning next season with varsity experience, and we look forward to continuing to build on what we started this season.
Soph - TBA
Girls Volleyball A Team was 3-8 going into the NSC Tournament and went 6-0 in the last 2 weekends to end the season and finish 9-8
Freshman B Girls Volleyball started their season 1-4 and went on an 8-3 run to finish 9-7. They won their last match and set of the season 37-35
Boys Soccer - End of season wrap up
This year’s boys’ varsity soccer season was different than any other season. The main focus this season was staying healthy through the pandemic while providing a positive experience for all soccer players involved in the program. Those two goals were achieved, and the players will have lifelong memories to carry with them.
Although we will never know what our varsity team could have done in a state playoff series, they worked extremely hard throughout the season to improve and grow each day. The players never gave up despite losing some very difficult games where the final outcome wasn't decided until the last minutes. Faced with adversity in the form of weather and scheduling all season, the program did very well. Each player continued to improve and it was fun to see each level battle all season. The coaching staff is very proud of their efforts and we can’t wait to start working with them again real soon.
The JV Boys Soccer Team became the regular season NSC Conference Champions with a record of 6-0-1. During this tough year they finished with a fantastic final record of 11-2-1, playing some phenomenal soccer and putting up 37 goals and shutting out opponents in 7 games.
Baseball
On Thursday, April 15th, two Mundelein baseball players combined to throw a perfect game in a 10-0 win over McHenry. Neither starter Jack Bikus nor closer Michael Rastrelli let up a single hit or runner in the five inning contest, while combining to strike out ten hitters. Four Mustangs led the offense with multi-hit games. Drew Wellington and Chris Rooney paved the way with three hits each, with Matt Peterson and Michael Rastrelli each tallying two hits.
Boys Water Polo
Boys water polo moves to 10-1 with decisive wins over Palatine (20-9), #10 ranked conant (14-7), and #4 ranked New Trier (9-4) this week.
Senior Day
Football, Cheer, Dance and Band teams were celebrated at the last home football game. Congratulations to all members of these groups and thank you to all the parents for your tireless dedication.
