Mustang News - October 30, 2020

Announcements

You Asked, We Listened! The Parent Survey from the week of September 14th asked, “What would you like more information about?” In response, you shared the three topics at the top of your mind: Helping your teen get motivated for remote learning (32%), finding things to do during social distancing (26%), and managing stress and anxiety (21%).

Below, access a video and slideshow including some of MHS's student support staff as they share expert tips around these topics. There, you will find tips for motivation, creating an effective home learning environment, habits for success, fun ideas for maintaining social-emotional health through creativity & connectedness, and finally, how to manage stress and anxiety.

Social Emotional Check In

Next week, the Student Services department will begin sending out occasional “check-in” emails to students. We will be asking for feedback on how students are coping with remote learning, and if they would like someone to reach out to them to check-in on how they are doing. The staff will reach out to any student that asks for a check-in through email or the student’s cell phone number.
