Veterans Day Celebration @ MHS - November 9, 2018

Today, Mundelein High School celebrates the 100th year anniversary of Armistice Day, also known as Veterans Day, as we gathered today to pay tribute to all veterans, past and present, who have given so much of themselves through their military service. We are especially proud of our many graduates who have served or who are currently serving our country. Visitors can see many of their pictures on our Wall of Honor in the main hallway including six of our MHS graduates who gave their lives for our country during the Vietnam War.

Today, we reflect on what service to our country means and how to honor and support those who choose to enter military service.   There were 123 honored guests today including our guest speaker, alumni from the Class of 1967, Brigadier General Jim Swanson.  In addition to our veterans, Mundelein Mayor Steve Lentz and Lake County Treasurer Elect Holly Kim attended our celebration.

Throughout this weekend, reach out the the veterans you know or meet to say thank you for their service.
