Mustang News - October 13, 2017

Recognition

Junior Anissa Maravella became a Gold Medalist last weekend as she won first place at the 2018 Upper Great Lakes Regionals Junior Ladies level. The junior level is the fourth of five competitive levels within the US Figure Skating qualifying system. Junior is the level where the most successful athletes have the chance to earn a spot on Team USA.

With her win, Anissa now qualifies for the Midwestern Sectional Figure Skating Championships which will take place November 14-18, 2017, in Bloomington, MN. A top four finish at sectionals would then secure her a spot at the 2018 US Figure Skating Championships Dec. 29 to Jan. 7 in San Jose, CA.
