All families,
Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow. Thus, my weekly blog is being sent out today!
Parents of Seniors,
We are all very excited for seniors who are participating in “Senior Countdown” festivities organized by students in Red Rage, but we must ensure all students are safe on campus. Students must follow the guidelines below to participate:
Students must not bring in prohibited substances including images or brands of illegal substances (alcohol, beer, marijuana references).
Students must not bring in items that are dangerous in such a way that can affect or hurt other students.
Students must not use any stolen item. All items must be their own. This includes shopping carts or baskets from stores.
Nothing living can join you.
No weapons or look-alike / toy weapons allowed.
All items must be school appropriate including following dress code and guidelines in the student handbook.
Items must be carried/controlled by you only. No one may ride on items.
Nothing motorized.
Everything must fit next to you in class.
Items that do not follow these guidelines will be confiscated and eligible for pickup at the end of the day in the Dean’s office. See Do’s and Don'ts. MHS is not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged items.

Ramadan
From March 22-April 21 our Muslim students are observing Ramadan. Throughout the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast during daytime hours. During the evening hours, the fast is broken with a small meal shared with friends and family. Fasting during Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is a time of spiritual growth and renewal.

Referendum Information
Mundelein High School parents and guardians,
In light of the building bonds referendum not receiving voter approval on Tuesday, District 120 will proceed with contingency plans.
We appreciate all of those in our community who took the time to learn about the referendum, attend our Town Hall meetings and vote in the election.
The plans for renovation and expansion of the MHS campus will be set aside and we will proceed with some of the most urgent investments with current funds. Meanwhile, the Board of Education will revisit the overall long-term development plan it adopted last November.
The District, along with architects from Wight & Company and engineers from Elara Engineering, have completed an extensive evaluation of the integrity of our campus infrastructure and programming needs.
Significant infrastructure deficiencies and space limitations will continue to impact school operations and scheduling, as well as building function and performance. Costs of maintaining outdated infrastructure and making temporary repairs to 62-year-old components will again impact operating budgets.
Fiscal control and safety of our students continues to shape the decisions of District 120 Board of Education and administration. We will continue evaluating all options to ensure success of our mission: “Mundelein High School is dedicated to academic excellence for all learners through the core values of equity, growth, and collaboration.”
Sincerely,
Dr. Kevin Myers, Superintendent

The most amazing performance was…·Our Wonder Woman has done it again…this past weekend, Praise became our new Indoor 1600 school record holder! Also this weekend (on Saturday); JV plays in the Libertyville Invitational, and the Frosh/So play at the Lake Forest Invite. The boys at all levels continue to bring energy and determination each week, building on their experiences from the week before. It’s going to be a great season for Mustang volleyball. Our next home match is on Monday, April 10 against Wheeling. We would love to see you there.
