Activities

Mock Election Next Week
On Wednesday, November 2nd, the AP Government students will be conducting a school wide Mock Election for President, US Senate and US House of Representatives. Wednesday during homeroom, students will be shown a series of videos produced by AP Government students and students in Kent Meister's TV Apprenticeship course  on the importance of voting, the Electoral College and the positions of the candidates running for office. Students will vote in their homeroom, and each homeroom will be assigned a state in the Electoral College, this way students will learn the difference between the popular vote and the electoral vote. Results will be announced at the conclusion of the school day on Wednesday.

Film Club
The Mundelein High School Film Club will meet every day after school from October 31st - November 3rd to offer students workshop time to film, edit, script, and produce their own creative film projects.  Your interest in producing films is all that's needed; we'll take care of the rest!  This is the place to create a music video, a college video resume, a short film project, or even a simple slideshow for a tribute or present to a special family member.

See Mr. Meister in the TV Studio or Mr. Kapotas in A117 for more information.

Halloween Special in the Cafeteria
Quest will be hosting a Halloween Special in the Cafeteria on October 31st by serving Ghostly Ice Cream with a warm large cookie for $2.00.

Join us in the cafeteria on Halloween!

Academic Team first competition
The 2016-17 Academic Team season has officially started.  Academic Team is an activity that competes against other North Suburban Conference High Schools.  During a meet, students have to quickly answer questions on various topics such as history, math, literature, pop culture, mythology, science, etc.  It is very similar to Jeopardy, but in a team format.  Students have to know a lot of facts and be quick with their responses.  We practice every Monday and Wednesday in rooms A02 and A03.  The Varsity coach is Mr. McCarthy and the JV coach is Mr. Ku.  Our first meet will be Wednesday, November 2nd against Lake Zurich, Warren, and Zion-Benton High Schools.  If any students are interested in participating in Academic Team, then they can talk to either Mr. McCarthy in room A03 or Mr. Ku in the Guidance Office.
